Can we talk about how there’s a glow in the dark fire instruction sign on my door? I think we should talk about that. First of all, you can barely read it, second of all WHO HAS TIME TO SQUINT AND READ A GLOW IN THE DARK SIGN DURING A FIRE. and third: in the unlikely event that there were a fire and I took the time to read a sign, wouldn’t the light from the fire illuminate it?

Languages ranked from easiest to hardest for English speakers - Infographic found here.

well shit

I feel like the only reason Japanese is difficult is Kanji. Granted, that’s a very big part of the language, but to learn the vocab, hiragana and katakana is just about repetition. I actually found speaking it pretty easy, as the vowel sounds are pretty much the same as English. I find Chinese to be on an entirely different level because pronouncing it can be so complicated. But of course that’s just my experience! This is a very well designed and informative infograph. :)
